Description
Frankenstein, MD is a 2014 multi-platform video adaptation of the classic novel. Pemberley Digital and PBS Studios teamed up to create and publish this modern retelling. The videos were released from August 2014 to October 2014. One episode was released every Tuesday and Friday, with supplementary videos being posted throughout the weeks. This modern version gender-bends the classic characters and renames them along the way. Victor Frankenstein becomes "Victoria" and Elizabeth becomes "Eli". The adaptation also includes Igor, or "Iggy", although the character was not included in the original novel. This modern retelling through video allows a more modern and younger audience, access to the classic story of Frankenstein.
